Uwagaki

Uwagaki summary: Terui Chiaki is well aware that her classmate Ajikawa Yoshio is infatuated with her, despite her lack of interest in him as boyfriend material. Chiaki already has a significant other, so even if he were, it would be a moot point. Their enigmatic teacher, Mr. Yamada, observes this dynamic and presents an experiment: using his ability to create clones of people and objects, he duplicates Chiaki without her boyfriend being included in the copy's knowledge. The clone, named Koaki, is then the object of Yoshio's affections, as he attempts to woo her. Eventually, the original and clone will be remerged and whichever romantic bond is strongest - Chiaki's current boyfriend or Yoshio's newfound love - will assume dominance. Initially skeptical, both Chiaki and Koaki gradually begin to feel a stirring of emotion as they witness Yoshio's persistent pursuit.
