Lone Wolf and Cub summary: Ittou Ogami's life has been reduced to very little. Once the chief executioner of the Shogunate, he is now a disgraced name, having been wrongly accused of treason by the Yagyuu Clan, who wished to overthrow him from his position of power. His misfortune climaxes with the agonizing murder of his entire family, including his wife Azami, leaving only his son Daigorou alive. Burdened by dishonor and the grief of his lost love, Ittou transforms into a contract killer for hire. Together with his young son, he embarks on a vengeful quest to annihilate the Yagyuu Clan. As he traverses the nation, his successful assassinations multiply, and soon, his reputation as the "Lone Wolf and Cub" precedes him as the premier assassin of choice to accomplish any task.
